Event Sales Manager
Management of Gateway Professional Baseball event spaces, including ABC Supply Stadium. This position is responsible for attracting and developing relationships with clients and promoting event sales across all event spaces, as well as plan public events within the stadium to promote the Sky Carp mission of improving the quality of life in our community. The position is also responsible for coordinating logistics and acting as a liaison between the client and each venue’s respective staff members to ensure excellent customer service. The Event Sales Manager will provide oversight of necessary systems in place to assure users expectations are met and provide leadership for each of the venue managers. The primary role of this person will be to generate revenue and margin for The Studer Family of Companies event spaces.

- Responsible for generating revenue through outside sales for all of Gateway Professional Baseball event spaces
- Work with the internal team, marketing staff, and other managers to increase sales opportunities and thereby maximize revenue for their organization
- Build long-term relationships with new and existing customers
- Promote the company’s products/services addressing or predicting clients’ objectives
- Find potential new customers, present to them, ultimately convert them into clients, and continue to grow business
- Manage existing clients and ensure their event needs are satisfied by working with the onsite event coordinators
- Call on clients, often being required to make presentations on solutions and services that meet or predict their clients’ future needs
- Develop our event portfolio for each venue
- Hire, train, educate, and manage staff on proper event procedures and coordination activities
- Create new ideas for events
- Negotiate and create sales presentations
- Responsible for all contracts
- Book venues and negotiate fees
- Drive attendance to the event through intercompany promotional tactics
- Conduct research to identify new markets and customer needs
- Promote the event using flyers, cold calling, and social media as examples of ways to spark attention
- Calculate budgets and adjust when necessary
- Analyze event performance and prepare metrics presentation
- Establish work procedures and processes that support the company and departmental standards, procedures and strategic directives
- Use appropriate judgment in upward communication regarding department or employee concerns
- Perform all other duties as requested or directed

- Well-organized and detail-oriented with all guest services
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Required to stand, walk, and lift items (up to 30 pounds) on a regular basis
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree and three to five years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Physical Requirements
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The key physical requirements of this position include the ability to walk and stand for an extended period of time, lift up to 30 pounds, and the use of standard kitchen and office equipment including computers.
Position Type & Expected Hours of Work
This is a regular, full-time, nonexempt position. Days and hours will vary to include evening and weekend work according to business needs.
